Who it's for

Account executives, sales engineers, product specialists, customer success managers who demo a new module, and founders who still take the biggest demos.

Output

  • A scored report after every room, with the moment that earned each score and one recommended focus
  • A demo plan for the next real demo: three priorities to confirm before the screen is shared, three things to show, one ask
  • A trajectory across every attempt, and for the manager a Ren summary of each rep, one real demo heard, and a team report
  • Scored against published frameworks: the Minto Pyramid Principle and Aristotelian rhetoric (Jay Heinrichs) for the presentation room; every other room is anchored to its own published rubric

Program contents

  1. Product accuracy · Explaining the product — Product Knowledge Drill · Test your knowledge
  2. Priority-led demo — Product Demo
  3. Composure under challenge · Making the ask — Presentation Under Pressure · Closing and Commitment

How the program works

A three-week program for everyone who demos the product, assigned by a sales manager, a sales engineering lead or an enablement lead, built on Renatus. Five simulation rooms · Three weeks, at most two rooms a week, one real demo heard by the manager · Unlimited attempts · Ongoing thereafter.

Why this program exists

A rep shares the screen, starts at the login screen, and by minute twelve the prospect is reading email. The prospect asks "can it do X?", the rep says yes, and the deal dies three weeks later when it turns out the product does not. This program prepares everyone who demos the product through simulation. Ren builds each scene from the rep's real role, demo role, sector and product, and plays the prospect in it, so every demo is new and moves with what the rep chooses to ask, to show and to leave out.

What you'll achieve

  1. Rehearsal of the five moments where a demo is won or lost, as often as they want it: the product question, the buyer who wants to know how it works, the demo itself, the audience that challenges it, and the ask
  2. A scored report after every room: each dimension with the moment that earned its score, strengths, development areas, blind spots where the evidence shows them, and one recommended focus
  3. A demo plan for the next real demo: three priorities to confirm before sharing the screen, three things to show, one ask
  4. Unlimited attempts at every room, each a different prospect calibrated to their current role, scored on the same dimensions and charted against every attempt before it

At a glance

Who it's for
Everyone who demos the product: account executives, sales engineers, product specialists, customer success managers who demo a new module, and founders. Every room calibrates to demo role, product tenure, audience or sales role, so one team can hold a sales engineer, an AE in their first year and the founder who still takes the biggest demos. It is assigned by the sales manager, the sales engineering lead or an enablement lead; the **Manager** lines are written for whoever that is, and the guide calls the participants reps. It assumes reps can already operate the product, and rehearses what they choose to show, what they say when asked for what it does not do, and how the demo ends.

Session by session

1

Week 1: Product accuracy · Explaining the product

Find out what each rep gets wrong about the product before a prospect does, and whether they can explain how it works to the person asking.

2

Week 2: Priority-led demo

Find the prospect's three priorities before sharing the screen, show the outcome first, answer "can it do X?" truthfully, and keep the demo on the prospect's outcome through the interruptions

Five demo simulations, run over three weeks, from the prospect's priorities to the ask.
