Who it's for

Anyone with a career move on the table: an offer to accept or refuse, a promotion that changes the job, a move into a new sector, or a decision about whether to stay.

Output

  • A strengths profile and a values profile built from your own evidence, each with what it costs you and what you won't trade
  • Three sourced reports, on the industry, the company and role, and the pay, each with a confidence rating on every section
  • A decision document with the options weighed against what matters to you, a pre-mortem, a killer assumption and a verdict with conditions
  • Scored against published frameworks: the Behavioural Event Interview and overplayed-strengths and derailers research, and the Schwartz theory of basic human values and reflective commitment inquiry; and, for the decision document, a weighted decision matrix, a pre-mortem stress test and a ten-year view

Program contents

  1. Strengths with evidence · What you won't trade — Strengths Profile · Values Clarification
  2. Reading the industry — Industry Career Map
  3. Company and role evidence — Career Intelligence
  4. Pay with evidence — Salary & Compensation
  5. Reaching the verdict — Career Decision

Why this program exists

You have a career move in front of you: an offer to accept or refuse, a promotion that would change the job, a step into a new sector, or the question of whether to stay. It is tempting to decide on a feeling and build the case afterwards. This program prepares you through an ordered path from evidence about yourself to evidence about the market to a verdict you can act on. Ren reads your strengths and values from the choices you describe, researches the industry, the company and the pay from named sources, then guides you to a decision and names the assumption that would change it.

What you'll achieve

  1. Two profiles built from your own evidence: your real strengths with what each costs you, and the values revealed by what you have chosen, not what you would list on a CV
  2. Three sourced reports: the industry, what is publicly knowable about the company and the role, and where the offer sits in the market's pay distribution, each with a confidence rating
  3. A decision document: the options weighed against what matters to you, a pre-mortem, the assumption that would change the call, a verdict with conditions and the strongest case for the path you do not take
  4. Unlimited attempts at every room, with a trajectory charted on the two rooms that score

Who it's for
Anyone with a career move on the table: an offer to accept or refuse, a promotion that changes the job, a move into a new sector, or a decision about whether to stay. It works whether you have two named options or one option and staying. It assumes you have a decision in front of you, not a general wish to do something different.

Session by session

1

Week 1: Strengths with evidence · What you won't trade

Identify the strengths backed by repeated evidence and what each costs when overplayed, and surface the values revealed by what you have chosen.

2

Week 2: Reading the industry

See what it takes to build a career in the industry you are moving into or staying in, from named sources.

3

Week 3: Company and role evidence

Know what is publicly knowable about the company and the role before you decide, and what is not answered by the evidence.

4

Week 4: Pay with evidence

Place the offer, or your current pay, in the market's distribution and know what is negotiable.

5

Week 5: Reaching the verdict

Weigh the options against what matters to you, stress-test the leading one, take the long view and reach a verdict.
